FG Grants

The list below collects federal grants, empowerment schemes, conditional grants, social-investment transfers and larger programmes run by federal agencies, ministries and development partners working with the Federal Government. Some items are umbrella programmes (with many sub-schemes); others are one-off or historical. Where possible I note the implementing agency.

1. N-Power (NSIP / National Social Investment Programme) — youth work-placement and stipends under the national social investment portfolio.
2. Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) — monthly cash support to extremely vulnerable households (component of NSIP).
3. National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) — daily meals for public primary pupils, uses locally produced food (NSIP).
4. Government Enterprise & Empowerment Programme (GEEP) — umbrella small business support (includes TraderMoni, MarketMoni, FarmerMoni).
5. TraderMoni (part of GEEP) — interest-free micro-loans for petty traders / artisans; sometimes described as grant-like.
6. MarketMoni (part of GEEP) — larger loans for market traders (tiered).
7. FarmerMoni (part of GEEP) — targeted to farmers under the GEEP umbrella.
8. Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme (PCGS) — SMEDAN / BOI-implemented conditional grants for nano/micro businesses (recent federal roll-outs).
9. SMEDAN Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) — small conditional grants (e.g., ₦50k) administered by SMEDAN to micro/nano businesses.
10. YouWin! (YouWin Nigeria) — entrepreneurship support and grants (historical youth business grant scheme).
11. NAPEP (National Poverty Eradication Programme) schemes — historical portfolio of poverty reduction projects, including small grants to vulnerable groups.
12. National Directorate of Employment (NDE) training & microgrant packages — training plus small startup grants for trainees (historical and ongoing variations).
13. Federal Government Agricultural Grant / Fadama support packages — Fadama projects (World Bank–supported but implemented with FG), small grants/in-kind support to farmers.
14. Anchor Borrowers Programme (CBN) — input support to farmers (credit in kind, seed/fertilizer) — technically a Central Bank programme but federal in scope.

How this list was compiled and important notes

• We focused on federal programmes (national programmes, presidential initiatives, federal-agency windows). We included umbrella programmes (e.g., NSIP/NSIO, GEEP) and their sub-schemes (TraderMoni, MarketMoni, FarmerMoni), plus frequent federal SME and agriculture grant windows (SMEDAN, BOI, CBN-linked schemes).
• Many programmes have changed names, been folded into new portfolios, or are delivered as grants, conditional grants, interest-free micro-loans, or in-kind support (inputs/equipment). We’ve flagged obvious conditional grants where known (e.g., SMEDAN ₦50k CGS, PCGS).
• Some items are historical (YouWin!, older poverty-reduction projects, NAPEP windows). Others are ongoing or periodically reopened (NSIP elements, SMEDAN windows).
• This is a large but not strictly exhaustive list — the FG frequently launches ad-hoc grant windows and donor-partnered grants that are administered through federal agencies.
